Nici Ewing

My name is Nici Ewing, I am married with one child and two stepchildren and two dogs.

I have a greyhound named Zoey and a terrier mix named Ceasar. My favorite thing to do is hike with my dogs or just stroll around town with my daughter and my dogs.

I started taking classes at A Place for Paws a couple months after it opened with my Rottweiler named Gordon. Someone at a pet store handed me an advertisement as Gordon was pulling me through their store, and I called after he ate part of the recliner in our living room. Needless to say “I needed help”. Nine and ½ years later I tell everyone that Gordon is the reason that I became an obedience trainer. Gordon and Dani taught me most of what I know. A lot of seminars and reading helped too.

I love dogs probably for the same reason everyone does, no matter what I do, they unconditionally love me, even if I’m late feeding them. I love watching at Doggy Daycare all of the different personalities meshing together and with 15 dogs running around, it all seems to work. But, my favorite part of my job is helping people keep their pets in their homes and making the relationship better between pets and their owners, that makes it all worth while.
