Fastrack at birth, illness and transition

At A Place for Paws, we have used Fastrack Gel for years to stop diarrhea instantly and Fastrack Microbial Supplement to help encourage picky eaters, but we have found it is so much more then that.

At the end of August, I attended a Fastrack product seminar presented by Dr. Larry Roth, Animal Products Manager at Conklin where I was educated in the details of the bovine, equine and canine digestive systems.
Fastrack provides our pets with live bacteria and yeast to populate the digestive tract with 'good bacteria'. These bacteria help your dog utilize ALL the food he digests which means he can eat less and gain more nutrients from the food he does eat.

Dr. Roth walked us through the early stages of a puppy's life. Puppies are born with no bacteria in their digestive tract. Bad bacteria takes 10 minutes to double while good bacteria takes 30 minutes. This leaves the newborn pups extremely susceptible to challenges, primarily respiratory and diarrhea issues.

Fastrack Gel, given within minutes of birth at the rate of 1 cc per puppy for three days can help the newborn digestive tract develop healthy bacteria and significantly lower mortality rates. Fastrack Canine Gel also contains specialized proteins to combat parvo-virus and two strains of e-coli.

Fastrack Gel can safely be used during times of irregular nutrient intake or illness. In fact, Fastrack improves a dog’s response to antibiotics and keeps the digestive tract healthy when antibiotics are used.  Fastrack Canine Gel should also be used when pups are weaned and when pups are moving into their new home. Given at a rate of 2 cc per day for two days prior to leaving and continuing for ten days after their departure will make the transition to the new environment easy and healthy.
