A good attitude and treats help

Positive training is based on rewarding good behavior. The easiest reward to use in class are treats that your dog loves. For training treats you want something small, soft, smelly and special.  Some training treat ideas are cut up hotdogs, cubes of cheese, bits of leftover meat, homemade liver treats, pet meat rolls, or freeze dried meat treats. The size of your training treats should be no bigger then a piece of dog food kibble. Avoid bringing dry, crunchy biscuit type treats, large treats , fake meat, plastic looking grocery store treats or boring, everyday treats. Plan on waiting until after class to feed your dog his evening meal. If your dog gets two meals a day feed him a light morning meal. Also, please complete the Client Profile and bring it back for your first class.
