Good information to have on your bookshelfNatural Nutrition for Cats and Dogs by Kymythy R. Schultze Our number one recommendation on raw feeding. Easy to read and understand, it has all the information people need to feed raw, including menu plans and suggested amounts. Give Your Dog A Bone Grow Your Pups With Bones The BARF Diet by Dr. Ian Billinghurst Dr. Billinghurst unquestionably ignited the movement towards BARF (Bones and Raw Food) feeding with the publication of his Give Your Dog A Bone in 1993. Billinghurst’s books are full of useful information on every aspect of raw feeding but may not provide enough specific detail to help some people to develop a feeding program. The Complete Herbal Handbook for the Dog and Cat by Juliette de Baïracli Levy Published in 1955, this quirky book is packed with information for the raw feeder and anyone interested in natural healing. While not hip to modern conveniences (Miss Levy recommends burying meat to preserve it), this book is interesting and detailed - particularly in the area of breeding and raising puppies. While it is not as easy to read as the previous books, it is well worth the effort. The Whole Dog Journal Subscriptions 1-800-829-9165 A good monthly magazine geared towards natural dog care and training; each issue has had something of interest to us. Some interesting websites
